Our Journey Through Time

2015 – 2016

Founded in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area  Cognizance Technologies was established as a minority- and woman-owned small business, with a focus on bridging the gap between health sciences and modern IT. 

Early Years

First Federal Contracts 
Our earliest engagements included support for the NIH and FDA, providing IT services in clinical research informatics and regulatory programs. on bridging the gap between health sciences and modern IT. 

2018 – 2020

Expansion of Expertise 
With growing success, we expanded into CMS, VA, and HRSA projects — supporting large-scale analytics, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT programs. 

2021 – 2023

Strengthening Delivery & Certifications 
Achieved CMMI ML2 – Development, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 20000-1:2018, and ISO/IEC 27001:2013certifications, reinforcing our commitment to quality, security, and continuous improvement. 

2024 – Present

Scaling Impact Across Agencies 
Today, we deliver solutions across five cabinet-level federal agencies including HHS, VA, DoEd, USDA, and Commerce. With a team of over 100 associates, we support programs that advance public health, regulatory science, and digital transformation.
